"Would my family benefit from respite care? "

Ask yourself -

1. Is finding temporary care for your MFTD (medically fragile and/or technologically dependent) child problematic?
2. Is it important for you and your spouse/partner to enjoy time alone, or with friends, without the children?
3. If you had appropriate care for your child, would you use this time for special activities with your other children?
4. If you had a break now and again, would you be better able to parent?
5. If there is a family emergency, who would you feel secure about leaving your child with?
6. Would you feel comfortable arranging care for your MFTD child with experienced, professional and reputable respite providers?
